This moodboard blends mythology, modern beauty, and strength to define Medusa — a brand rooted in empowerment and luxury. Emerald tones, gold details, and marble textures evoke timeless elegance and power. The statues and serpents reference Medusa not as a monster, but as a symbol of resilience and transformation.

My digital drafts explore the face of Medusa as a symbol of power and difference. I'm drawn to the idea of expressing imperfection within perfection — capturing raw emotional beauty. I’ve been experimenting with line work using snakes as both a visual element. Each draft aims to blend classical inspiration with a modern, bold edge that speaks to the essence of empowerment.
Final Concept
For the final design, I moved away from directly using Medusa’s portrait and instead focused on the concept behind her. While reviewing my sketches, I noticed I had drawn several shields — a direction I grew to really like. It reminded me that, in mythology, Athena’s shield featured the head of the Gorgon Medusa. That connection inspired me to use the shield as a powerful symbol in the final identity.

With this design, I wanted to reflect the idea that Medusa represents more than what we see at face value. Her story — often misunderstood — reminded me that there’s always more than one way to approach a situation. Sometimes, stepping back and viewing something from a new angle reveals deeper meaning or truth. That mindset guided my creative process. Instead of focusing on a literal portrait of Medusa, I explored her symbolism — strength, protection, and transformation — through more abstract elements like the shield. It became clear that shifting perspective not only changed the outcome of the design, but also allowed the concept to evolve into something more powerful.
